New Arrivals!
Vannah (Savannah) (5 yrs old; arrived Jul 11, 2010; born 2005) – Owned privately by a couple in Colorado. She was purchased as a kitten from a breeder in TX. She started developing attachment issues and was only responding to the man of the house. Due to this, the couple and their children found SSWC and after a year of deciding, finally visited. They were so enchanted with our facility that they drove home that same day and brought her back to live here with Tabou. Upon dropping her off, they immediately adopted her through our adoption program.

One quiet Sunday morning as Nick, Julie
and Dr. Mel prepared to do a routine medical check on the all
the residents that call Serenity Springs home, a little sound
was heard that surprised us all. The sound was of tiny tiger
cubs! We were off to investigate, and sure enough, we
followed it to the den of Charaka and Priya. Priya is the sister
to Tutt, Pandora, and Nefertitti. Priya would have originally
lived her life with her sisters and brother, but they never got
along very well, so she was moved to Charaka's enclosure as he
was all alone - they have now been together 3 years. They seemed
to be very happy, but as the years rolled on, no one realized
Charaka had never been neutered. Most male tigers that arrive at
Serenity Springs with a female mate are normally sterilized, but
when Charaka's mate died there was no need as he was in an
enclosure alone. I guess we will call this a happy accident!

Check our tour information page for
photo opportunities with the new cubs!
Bobbi and Tagi are two beautiful bob cats
who were rescued from Walk on the Wildside in Arkansas. They are bonded
with each other and have beautiful rosettes and love to
play and cuddle with each other.

We hope to see you soon and look
forward to introducing you to our newest arrivals!
